Honest Tecno Camon 19 review by users and consumers. Expected award winning Tecno Camon 19 price in Kenya is KES 24,500 or about USD 220. The incredible phone is available from June 20, 2022.

A general review

The unbelievable features against an affordable price of the Tecno phones is a major reason why the brand remains the best selling phone in Africa. Tecno 19 launches in New York on June 14, 2022.

You can preorder this smartphone at Safaricom shops or Masoko, Jumia and Tecno outlets between now and June 20. The phone has a display of 6.67” with a screen ratio of over 95 percent. One of the slimmest frames ever.

Preorders will enjoy free Tecno Backpack and Ear Pods

With an amazing 128GB ROM and 4GB RAM, it stands out as among the perfect phones for those who love carrying music and photos in their phones.

The Tecno Camon 19 camera contains pro features that allow you to adjust settings to fit your needs. It produces magnificent pictures in low light bringing into life the splendid view of city buildings and lights at night.

This is made possible by the powerful 64MP rear triple camera, with the front 16MP selfie camera giving you more options of taking great photos from any angle. The

The Camon series maintains its single SIM in this pretty thin and lightweight phone, so you are out luck again if you prefer double-SIM phones.

Honest Mara S review and price in Rwanda. Mara S is a budget smartphone made in Rwanda. It is the third product after the middle-end products Mara Z1 and Mara X1. Mara S price in Rwanda is USD 45.00 or approximately KES 5,000.

Mara S general review

The Mara S has considerably low capabilities compared to the other brands by the same company. For instance, its screen is smaller at 4.95’’ display and is slightly thicker and heavier weighing 204.8g. Comparatively, the Mara Z1 weighs 183g while the Mara X1 weighs 156g.

However, it runs on the latest Android 10 GO edition making it a safe use and giving the options of running the latest apps on Google Play Store. It uses the Mali 400 Quad-Core Processor.

The Mara S review of the removable 1850 mAH battery doesn’t compare well with the other two phones, we are not sure why the company decided to downgrade its production. It is worth noting that the other two phones are out of stock at the time of writing this article and there is no communication about further production of the series.

The manufacturer promises a great battery performance of 8 hours talk-time and an incredible 390 hours standby.

The phone does not have the fingerprint or Face ID security features available on the other Mara series.

Storage and camera

Still Mara S offers great storage with the 1GB RAM + 8GB ROM expandable to 128GB with the microSD slot. You may find this storage better for music and video, as the 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfie camera is not so convincing for someone who expects better photos. But that’s what you get at that price.

At least you will have a great 2560*1920 resolution.

Probably the Maraphones punched well above its weight when t started with a high end product before getting a footprint in the market. Chinese phone maker Transsion penetrated the market with low end Tecno and Infinix phones which had greater functionality and now they are in the top ten best selling phones in Africa. Mara could have followed cue.

However, for anyone on budget, this may be a good buy. Mara S comes in three colour ranges of black, champagne, and red.

Itel P38 review

Honest Itel P38 review by users. The Itel P38 series is now available in various markets including Kenya retailing at around KES 10,000 (USD 85.4). The dual-SIM P38 is the successor to the Itel P37 series.

Review of Itel P38 specs

The Itel P38 specs reviews are positive for the sleek plastic body and smooth design which has an upgraded fingerprint scanner on the back.

It is a lightweight smartphone at 191 grammes, measuring 166 x 76 x 8.7 mm, making it convenient to carry around.

The wider screen ratio of 90 percent allows the user a comfortable wider vision experience, a slight improvement to the Itel P37. It has better display for gaming and videos with vivid colours.

The Itel P38 series runs on the most recent Android 11 Go Edition with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU graphics processor. Enhanced security features include face and fingerprint unlock dual security protection, with facial recognition high tech.

Itel P38 camera and storage review

For its price, the Itel P38 review of the 8MP dual rear camera and 5MP selfie camera may be disappointing. They could do better given the available competing options. The photos still come out great, though.

However, Itel compensates for this with the 32+2GB storage and memory. There is a microSD card slot which accommodates up to 64GB.

Battery performance

Itel promises an incredible 5000mAH battery performance. 26 hours talk only, 51 hours if playing music only, and 10 hours for watching videos. Gamers can enjoy for up to 6.5 hours. If the phone is on standby, you won’t recharge for up to 12 days.

What then if recharge is three times faster at 15W? And a 10-minute charge to support a 3-hour call! Incredible, right!? This takes into the category of the best phones to have for people on the move.

Only time will tell once we have had enough time to gauge the battery performance, but this is a great promise.

The Itel P38 review of the three colour options of nebula black, galaxy blue and spruce green finds that Itel is keen to stand out on the shelves with the unique styles.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G reviews foldable smartphone opened for pre-orders in Kenya September, 2021. Its price was KES 220,999. Pre-orders could be placed at any of the authorized Samsung dealers or at Safaricom outlets countrywide.

Just like its sister the Galaxy Z Flip3, Samsung extends a 12-month warranty for both inner screen and outer screen breaks on all pre-ordered phones, and will also gift you with a wireless duo charger and a flip cover with S-Pen, in addition to getting into the Samsung Care+ portfolio.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 was released on August 27 in South Korea. Pre-order offers for Kenya and the East African region are limited although allocations will be unlimited once largescale shipping begins. This foldable phone is one of the hits on the market at the moment.

Notable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G specs

  • Water resistant
  • More softened crease at the fold

The Galaxy Fold 3 5G quick review

Just like we already discussed about the issues with foldable phones, Samsung is working harder to take care of the creases at folds and disintegrating hinges and display, and they are largely getting it right.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G reviews find it lighter, thinner and more affordable than its predecessor the Fold 2. However, it still folds along the vertical line and may not be as trendy as the Flip 3 which folds along the horizontal line, and it still feels bulky in the hand or pocket.

It does not show an obvious crease line at the fold, and the hinges are stronger and integrate well with the rest of the body. The cover screen has a 120Hz refresh-rate giving you a fantastic user experience.

The S Pen experience is great for someone who wants extra pleasure in using phones or a business person in a conference room, but it may not be great for someone on the move. Throwing the S Pen in your jeans or shorts pockets while running about is not a comfortable idea, is it? The cover screen doesn’t have S Pen support too.

But if you happened to fall in the swimming pool or ocean with this phone, you wouldn’t need to worry with its water resistance capability. That makes a case for longer durability in addition to the aluminium and stronger materials used on the hinges and the body.

The Fold 3 camera

Apart from the other noted cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G comes with an under-display camera, a first for Samsung. This one is hidden behind the main screen and can be used for selfie, though the results are not as fantastic as the main camera. It is probably best for video calls.

Although it has a lot of cameras, five in total, you wouldn’t bank on them to capture the most panoramic phots or videos. No, they aren’t as fantastic as you would imagine them to be especially at such a high price for the phone.

The advantage this phone has over the Flip 3 is that you are able to multi task on the double screens since the fold is vertical. But as you use more applications, you will most definitely run out of power sooner than you can imagine. 3 hours tops.

Apart from battery problems, which Samsung must work on in future for all its phones, there was also an issue where one user complained that the WiFi wasn’t connecting and Samsung alluded to some update that was yet to go through.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G reviews for this foldable smartphone are amazing. The pre-orders opened in Kenya in late 2021 at a cost of KES 119,999.

Samsung extends a 12-month warranty for inner screen breaks and you are likely to get a leather cover and a wireless duo charger. This is part of the deal for getting into the Samsung Care+ portfolio.

The Galaxy Z Flip3 was launched in August together with the Galaxy Z Fold3 which is also accepting pre-orders. However, the pre orders are limited even though the phone manufacturer has adopted the policy of allowing unlimited allocations to all markets across the world, unlike before. The foldable Z series devices have proven to be popular with reports of massive pre orders of 450,000 being received in the first week of the launch.

Notable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 specs review

  • 8GB RAM
  • 6.7 inch screen display
  • Camera 12MP main, 10MP selfie, 4K video
  • 128GB/ 256GB internal storage, no MicroSD slot
  • Li-Po 3300 mAH battery, fast charging 15W, fast wireless charging 10W
  • Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) chipset
  • Android 11 OS
  • 1080 x 2640 pixels resolution
  • USB-C 3.1
  • 183 grams weight
  • Maximum speed 2.84 GHz
  • Dimensions: Unfolded: 166 x 72.2 x 6.9 mm, Folded: 86.4 x 72.2 x 15.9-17.1 mm
  • Plastic front, glass back
  • Water resistant
  • More softened crease at the fold
  • Colour options: Green, Phantom Black, White, Lavender, Cream, Pink, Gray

Notable downsides

  • No 3.5mm audio jack, so you will have to do with stereo speakers.
  • Has No dust resistance
  • No MicroSD card slot
  • Battery may not last as long as you would like

The Galaxy Flip3 overview

The fact that Samsung has decided to offer unlimited allocations to all regions means one thing: the brand is selling and is here to stay. The foldable phones have had their own challenges since they were first manufactured, with issues of creases where the screen folds, disintegrating hinges, and poor display with the screen appearing partitioned.

It appears Samsung has made strides in this technology as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G reviews haven’t noted obvious crease line where it folds, the hinges are stronger and a cover screen for the 120Hz refresh-rate screen show. You can easily fold it and use the outer screen to record videos and shoot fantastic photos.

The small size and great photos would make it ideal for any travellers and tourists who want to capture those unforgettable moments. When folded, it does not feel like you have a folded phone in your hands, and you can flip it open with just one hand. Previous pones made it feel like you were holding a combination of two phones.

Source/CNET

The cover screen is larger than previous foldable smartphones. Both the inner screen and outer screens are fantastic when used outdoors, and you won’t strain your eyes when in the sun.

With the Director’s View selected when taking photos, you can see a preview from all three cameras of what you are shooting and how it looks like on camera. So your subject can always see themselves on the cover screen before you press the button.

However, you will be more concerned about battery life when you are having fun taking pictures and videos and connected to 5G. You’d be lucky to do 3 hours of onscreen time before the battery starts asking for more sauce.

The Huawei Matepad 11 reviews found that it costs approximately KES 60,000 in Kenya. The tablet landed on the shelves of Huawei Experience Centre in September 2021. The centre is located at the Sarit Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.

Matepad 11 quick review

The high end device is a superb upgrade of the Matepad 10 and was launched in June 2021.

Key highlights specs of the Huawei Matepad 11 tablet are:

  • 6GB RAM
  • 10.95 inch touchscreen display
  • 64GB / 128GB internal storage, expandable to 256GB via MicroSD
  • 2-Generation M-Pencil
  • 7250 mAH battery
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G processor
  • HarmonyOS 2.0
  • 2560 x 1600 pixels
  • Keyboard accessory
  • Rear 13MP and front cameras
  • 485 grams weight
  • Maximum speed 3.1 GHz

Notable missing elements

  • Google apps and other related apps. If you are a fan of such apps, then you will be disappointed. But there is an alternative (see end of article)
  • Doesn’t have the 3.5mm audio jack for headphones
  • Some have been reported to lack the SIM tray for holding MicroSD card.

Huawei Matepad 11 colour options and other specs

The tablet comes in a variety of colours: Isle Blue, Matte Grey, Olive Green. The colour range offers one a different feel from the more common black, pink and red varieties that most phones and tablets have.

This tablet uses the USB-C charging option. In the place of providing the audio jack, the manufacturer provides an adapter for this port. So you can’t be charging and at the same time have headphones in use.

The screen display is bright enough and superb, but the gloss which can create reflections when used in outdoor events. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The keyboard makes it easier to do typing in cases where you have to, which is quite convenient compared to if you were to do it on the screen. You can actually use both hands, so if you are a traveller or a business person on a trip, this technology is for you.

Huawei Matepad 11 reviews show it has a powerful battery performance that gives the freedom to make forays into spaces that are further away from electricity. However, do not stretch your luck too far with the manufacturers promise of 41 hours in ‘Performance mode’ and 57 hours on battery saving mode. Probably half that amount of time to be safe.

If you are a traveller and wanted to capture some moments using this Huawei technology product, you can use the rear camera at 13MP. You can record videos at 720p, 1080p, or 4Kp depending on your choice.

Is it possible to download android apps on Huawei Matepad 11?

As you know, Huawei doesn’t run on android anymore because of longstanding trade spats that saw USA companies such as Google ending partnerships. Now the Chinese phone maker has its own androidlike OS called HarmonyOS.

If you search for an android app on this table, you will definitely not find one in its Appstore. However, the search redirects to APKPure and other websites that have android app repositories. You can download the app you want from there and because of how HarmonyOS is built, the app will run on the Matepad. Just beware of viruses even though the Huawei claims to have vetted all the downloadable apps.

Remember also that APK is going to be obsolete this year as Google embraces AAB for all apps on Play Store. Huawei promises to keep up with these changes.

The Mara Z phone reviews explores the second smartphone made in Rwanda. This phone is the second in the line of Mara phones and an upgrade of the Mara X. It is a little wider and slimmer than its predecessor but has the same weight at 152 grams. However, most other features remain the same.

Comparison between the Mara X and the Mara Z

While the Mara X dimensions were 150 x 70.5 x 8.59 mm with a 5.5 inch screen, the Mara Z dimensions are 154.2 x 72.7 x 7.96 mm giving it a wider screen at 5.7 inches.

Another difference is in the chip, with the Mara X running on Mediatek MT6739, Quad-core ARM Cortex A53 1.5GHz Processor, the Mara Z runs on Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435, Octa-core ARM Cortex A53 1.4GHz Processor.

The Mara Z selfie camera is superior at 13MP pixels compared to the lowly 5MP pixels of the Mara X camera. The larger internal memory of 32GB and expanded RAM of 3GB are also worthwhile improvements. However, there is no improvement on the rear camera which remains the same as the predecessor’s.

The Mara Z battery of 3075 mAh Li-Po Battery (non-removable) is somehow inferior to the Mara X 3500mAh. The Mara Z price is USD 229.00 or about KES 24000, and comes in same colours of gold gray, gold, and black.

If you have used the iPhone 11 Pro, then iPhone 11 Pro Max is just a wider version, of course with a fancy name. However you will have to break your bank to get it, and enjoy the amazing video display which is its main strength as your fingers feel awesome in its smooth texture. This is a quick iPhone 11 Pro Max review.

iPhone 11 Pro Max Camera review

The iPhone Pro Max has three 12MP sensor camera’s on its rear. You therefore have a choice of using a standard shot, or use the ultrawide, or the 2x optical zoom lens. All these sit on the widely berated bump sharing space with the flash. Whoever will come up with an alternative for that bump should be given an award, and a picture of them taken with the amazing camera on this phone.

Then when the Deep Fusion update that is promised – which is said to enable the camera take 8 images in a flash – comes we will celebrate together.

Apple’s bold venture in AI photography enables the camera to take clear pictures in the Night Mode which switches automatically, together with the video editing features makes it awesome to create your own short movie without transferring the file. There is that happy feeling when the video is as crisp as the still camera, you get it?

The iPhone 11 Pro Max battery life

Of course as you get used to the visual capabilities of this phone, you must be wondering about how far the battery can take you whether playing games or shooting. Apple claims the A13 Bionic chipset will make it possible for the battery power to last more than 5 times that of the iPhone XS Max. Well, it is just a matter of time before we ascertain that.

True to our spirit of keeping it concise, see the iPhone 11 Pro Max specs below and make a decision.
