Mara Z phone reviews
The Mara Z phone reviews explores the second smartphone made in Rwanda. This phone is the second in the line of Mara phones and an upgrade of the Mara X. It is a little wider and slimmer than its predecessor but has the same weight at 152 grams. However, most other features remain the same.
Comparison between the Mara X and the Mara Z
While the Mara X dimensions were 150 x 70.5 x 8.59 mm with a 5.5 inch screen, the Mara Z dimensions are 154.2 x 72.7 x 7.96 mm giving it a wider screen at 5.7 inches.
Another difference is in the chip, with the Mara X running on Mediatek MT6739, Quad-core ARM Cortex A53 1.5GHz Processor, the Mara Z runs on Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435, Octa-core ARM Cortex A53 1.4GHz Processor.
The Mara Z selfie camera is superior at 13MP pixels compared to the lowly 5MP pixels of the Mara X camera. The larger internal memory of 32GB and expanded RAM of 3GB are also worthwhile improvements. However, there is no improvement on the rear camera which remains the same as the predecessor’s.
The Mara Z battery of 3075 mAh Li-Po Battery (non-removable) is somehow inferior to the Mara X 3500mAh. The Mara Z price is USD 229.00 or about KES 24000, and comes in same colours of gold gray, gold, and black.
